Event producing has always been a passion of mine. The last five years I've been a freelance event planner doing everything from weddings to galas. I'm a major nerd about keeping track of the details and I love the thrill of seeing all those meticulous plans come to fruition as guests arrive to have an unforgettable night.

UNICEF Masquerade BallS

The last three years I’ve had the pleasure of working with Evelina Eco Events on producing UNICEF’s Masquerade Balls in Chicago (’14, ’15) and Los Angeles (’15, ’16). 800+ emerging global leaders, celebrities and philanthropists attend annually to raise more than $250,000 in support of lifesaving work for children around the world. I managed front of house supervising event set-up, 30+ volunteers, check-in, and all hired vendors. I also created the run of show, designed venue maps, maintained detailed budgets, requested proposals from potential vendors, reviewed contracts, and worked closely with the venues on all event details.

ANNSLEY AND KATHLEEN NIEMANN'S WEDDING

This is a very special wedding for me because it was for my little sister. It was also the first same-sex couple wedding I've attended or planned which was a very eye-opening experience into how many aspects of the wedding industry are not gender neutral. This wedding was held at the stunning venue, Foxboro Ranch, in Flagstaff, Arizona, much of the decor was DIY or from Etsy. They had many custom touches to their wedding including a rock ceremony, choreographed wedding party entry dance, an in memoriam gallery, and a glowstick exit.

Grandioso Agency Open House

I helped produce a one of a kind, invite only open house for a 15 million dollar home in The Oaks in Calabasas, CA for The Agency. Some unique elements included a server literally sewn into the hors d'oeuvre table, a mermaid swimming in the pool, and an electric violin and DJ pairing. Close to 300 people attended, it was the talk of the town, and even appeared in an episode of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. Contracted by: Evelina Eco Events

ADVERTISING Events & Screenings

I produced a series of pop-up Farmers' markets in creative agencies around LA and SF with tastings from local food vendors, an organic cooking demonstration, and custom branded swag including reusable water bottles, farmer's market bags, recipe cards and ingredients. These events allowed TakePart to create memorable experiences for potential new clients and provided an opportunity to promote their brand. I also organized exclusive screening events for the films The Letters and He Named Me Malala. I coordinated logistics with theaters, oversaw marketing for ticket giveaways, and organized Q&A panels with actors, filmmakers and non-profits.

Sasoon & Nathan McGowan's Wedding

I was the day of wedding coordinator for the wonderful McGowan couple. I helped with wedding prep leading up to the big day including consulting on venue, decor, catering, vendors, and layouts. I managed set-up of the ceremony and reception which were held at Studio 11 in Los Angeles. I developed and executed the run of show, keeping everything within the couples timeframe and creating an enjoyable event atmosphere for guests. Brooke & James Steele's Wedding

As a day of wedding coordinator, working with Evelina Eco Events, I managed the set-up of the reception decor and oversaw the florist, caterer, bakery, DJ, and Presidio staff. Assisted with running the wedding rehearsal, coordinating with the church liaison, pastor, and wedding party. Maintained the day of timeline, seeing to it that all the wedding details from hair and make-up, to seating arrangements, and vendors arrivals were on schedule and done according to the couple's vision to allow a stress-free day for the bride and groom. Inaugural Quiksilver Pro NY Surf Competition

Worked on the event production team for a large-scale inaugural surfing industry event attended by 40,000+ that incorporated a multifaceted entertainment site with an ASP Sponsored Surf Competition and a weeklong music festival. Contacted vendors, reviewed their proposals, and made recommendations to company executives.

Blue & Orange Madness

Organized the largest annual on campus event at Pepperdine University, Blue & Orange Madness, a homecoming fair attended by 3,000+ people. Managed 50+ volunteers, 35 clubs and community organization booths, event set-up, vendor contracts, entertainment, and catering.

ReelStories Filmfest

ReelStories FilmFest aims to showcase both student works and acclaimed feature and documentary films that best resonate with its vision to utilize the power of film to reflect the reality that we envision for our world. I served as a director, handling  logistics, catering, and all aspects of event production.

Christmas Tree Lighting

Led planning for annual Christmas Tree Lighting ceremony at Pepperdine University. The event included live music from the University President's band, catered food, facilitating creation of custom designed ornaments from every group on campus, a liturgical program, choir performances, and even a surprise snowfall. Attendees included facility, staff, students, families, and alumni.
